How the site currently uses browser storage
This static website uses browser local storage to remember your cookie-consent choices. The saved preference records whether optional analytics or marketing categories were accepted, along with the date the choice was made. It is used to remember your decision and avoid repeatedly showing the banner; it is not an analytics profile.
The current starter does not load third-party analytics, behavioural advertising pixels, or optional marketing scripts on its own pages. The consent controls include categories for future integrations, but those technologies must not be activated unless the relevant consent has been collected where required by law.
Consent categories
| Category | Purpose | Choice |
|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Remember the consent choice and support essential site functions. This category cannot be switched off through the banner. | Always active |
| Analytics | Reserved for audience measurement or performance tools if the site owner adds them in the future. | Optional; off by default |
| Marketing | Reserved for advertising or cross-site marketing technologies if added in the future. | Optional; off by default |
How to change or withdraw consent
You can choose “Accept all,” “Reject optional,” or open “Customize” in the consent banner. To revisit your choice later, use the Cookie settings control in the site footer. You can switch optional categories on or off and save a new choice. The site stores the current choice for up to 180 days, after which it asks again.
Rejecting optional categories does not block access to the editorial pages. If optional services are added later, the site owner must connect them to these controls so the services do not run before the required consent is granted.
Links to third-party websites
Some product links lead to Amazon.com. When you choose to leave this website, the destination site may use its own cookies and technologies under its own policies. The controls on Deshedding Tools cannot manage storage on third-party websites.
Legal context and limitations
Consent requirements depend on the technologies actually deployed, the purposes for processing, and the countries of the people using the site. This implementation is designed to support prior choice for optional categories, a clear rejection path, and an accessible way to change preferences. It is not a guarantee of compliance in every jurisdiction. Before enabling analytics, advertising, embedded media, or other third-party services, the site owner should update this policy and obtain jurisdiction-specific legal advice as needed.
